Our workshops are delivered online and self-paced, which means you can learn on your own schedule. Every enrolment comes with lifetime access to video modules that you can pause, rewind, and revisit as often as you like. There are two main pathways. The Beginner Workshop is perfect if you’ve never worked with wood before. We keep it simple, avoid power tools, and make sure everything is approachable. Once you’re ready for more, the Advanced Workshop takes you deeper into preparing timber, refining patterns, and experimenting with more complex designs.
From the moment you log into the student dashboard, you’ll be guided through the full creative process. We start with design and pattern planning, showing you how to sketch and visualise the mosaic you want to create. Then we move into sourcing and preparing your timber, where to find it, how to choose pieces that work well together, and how to prepare them for cutting.
Next comes shaping and fitting. In the beginner workshop, you’ll learn to cut and arrange your pieces safely using hand tools. Advanced students will go further with power tools, flattening, and precision cuts. Once your mosaic is laid out, we show you how to bring it together: adhering the pieces, refining the joints, sanding the surfaces, and sealing it with finishes that highlight the grain and protect your work.
Every stage is explained in detail on video, allowing you to follow along at your own pace. And if you hit a roadblock, you can ask for help in the community and get guidance from both fellow makers and from us directly.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only have a finished piece of wood mosaic art for your own home or to gift, you’ll also have a new set of skills you can use again and again.
